Web 2.0 - Catching Up With The Wave

So... I finally caught up with all these Web/Internet/Information Age Revolution going on around the world. For awhile there ( ok for so and so years.) I was practically ignorant and technophobic with all the computer/digital what -have-yous all around me that I never really got to learn and use much of any of it. Back in high school, the year after we graduated and stepping into college, the batch next to us got a hold of the first few computers in the school officially starting the computer literacy education for the succeeding students. I/We missed it. If I could've been in front of a computer at that crazy age where I have all the time for curiousity and experimentation and boundless energy, I think I would probably one of the country's techiest tech geeks or maybe even the local Bill Gates...
Im sure I would be. But instead years passed until all I really had was the nagging feeling that I am completely clueless about the computer and all things related to it. I became technophobic.
Even when I was doing photography, I should've known better not to be intimidated by the digital shift. Back then, as i was just able to invest in the top of the line film format cameras and confident the knowledge I gained from years of shooting, printing, etc. - all on film, suddenly - the world has changed. Analog is obsolete. Digital reigns new. My equipment/investment grew obsolete in no time at all. My years of study in the darkroom and in black and white processing suddenly becomes as easy as - forgive the cliche', pushing a button in the computer.
i got frustrated.
Fast Forward a few years later. I was not late after all. Yeah I did miss the first boat. But now there is a new boat. The so called Web 2.0. The next wave in the Information Revolution. And well enough I am here. Blogging to my heart's content. My business run most of the time online. And anywhere. From the bedroom to the local Starbucks - my office is wherever I go. Wifi, cellphone ( which anytime now would be the gorgeously sexy iPhone ), my Macbook Pro. my Nikon D200... it couldn't get any better than this...
...Well ok it could get better actually. I am just starting. Getting the knack of it. It is exciting to say the least. This whole Information Age thing. This Web 2.0. The possibilities are enormous.
And all will be shared in this blog. The adventures, the stories - everything ( well almost everything ).
This is me. And this is gonna be one loud...Blog!
